The 3rd District of the Wisconsin Senate is located in Southern Wisconsin, and is composed of parts of Milwaukee County.[1]

Current elected officials

Tim Carpenter is the senator serving the 3rd district. He has served since 2003, and was re-elected in 2012 to another four-year term. Before serving as a Senator, he held an office in the State Assembly from 1985 to 2003.[2]

The area of the 3rd Senate District contains three State Assembly Districts:[3]

The district is also located within Wisconsin's 4th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Gwen Moore.[4]
