In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the witherstench is a type of fictional monster.
Publication history
The witherstench first appeared in White Dwarf #11 (February 1979). The witherstench appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]
Description
A witherstench is a bizarre relative of the skunk, with very little fur sprawled in dirty patches over the blotchy yellow and purple spotted skin. A witherstench lives in dank and filthy areas where it can feed on carrion. A witherstench can attack with two claws, and its spots constantly emit a powerful and nauseating odor which causes victims to retch uncontrollably.
