Zoey Arizona Grenier is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Anchorage, Alaska, who was crowned Miss Alaska 2015. She competed for the Miss America 2016 title in September 2015.

Pageant career

Grenier competed for the Miss Alaska 2014 title and placed as the third-runner-up. She was subsequently a contestant at the National Sweetheart 2014 pageant.

Unlike most state-level pageants in the Miss America system, Alaska allows any eligible woman to enter the Miss Alaska pageant without first having to win a local qualifying pageant.[1] Entering the state pageant in June 2015 as one of 12 contestants, Grenier's preliminary competition talent for Miss Alaska was a vocal performance.[2] Her platform was "Instilling Responsibility in Youth Through Athletics".[3]

Grenier won the statewide competition on Friday, June 6, 2015, when she received her crown from outgoing Miss Alaska titleholder Malie Delgado.[4] Her duties as Miss Alaska include appearances and other functions across the state.

Grenier was Alaska's representative at the Miss America 2016 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September 2015.[2][5] In the televised finale on September 13, 2015, she placed outside the Top 15 semi-finalists and was eliminated from competition. She was awarded a $3,000 scholarship prize as her state's representative.[6][7]

Personal life and education

Grenier is a native of Anchorage, Alaska. She is a student at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA).
