The 1927 Railway Cup Hurling Championship was the first series of the Railway Cup, an annual hurling tournament and organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The tournament took place between 21 November 1926 and 17 March 1927.
Three team teams participated in the inaugural championship. These included the three of the four historic provinces of Ireland, Connacht, Leinster and Munster
The tournament was won by Leinster.
Participants
The inaugural tournament was contested by the three strongest hurling provinces - Connacht, Leinster and Munster. The latter team received a bye to the final. Ulster, traditionally seen as the weakest hurling province declined to field a team.
