The 1939 Railway Cup Hurling Championship was the 13th series of the Railway Cup, an annual hurling tournament and organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The tournament took place between 26 February and 17 March 1939.

Three team teams participated in the inaugural championship. These included three of the four historic provinces of Ireland, Connacht, Leinster and Munster

The tournament was won by Munster.
