The Seattle Mariners 1984 season was their eighth since the franchise creation, and ended the season finishing 5th in the American League West, finishing with a record of 74-88.

Offseason

• November 21, 1983: Bill Caudill and Darrel Akerfelds were traded by the Mariners to the Oakland Athletics for Dave Beard and Bob Kearney.^[1]
• December 5, 1983: Dave Geisel was selected by the Mariners from the Toronto Blue Jays in the rule 5 draft.^[2]
• January 17, 1984: Mike Blowers was drafted by the Mariners in the 8th round of the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign.^[3]
• March 23, 1984: Rick Sweet was released by the Mariners.^[4]
