1989 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team
The 1989 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team represented the University of Notre Dame in the 1989 college football season.[1] The team was coached by Lou Holtz and played its home games at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana.
Rivalries
Notre Dame beat USC to claim the Jeweled Shillelagh. In the Michigan – Notre Dame rivalry, Notre Dame beat Michigan 24-19.
