2016 World Rally Championship-3
The 2016 World Rally Championship-3 is the fourth season of the World Rally Championship-3, an auto racing championship recognized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, running in support of the World Rally Championship. It was created when the Group R class of rally car was introduced in 2013. The Championship is composed by fourteen Rallies, and Drivers and Teams must nominate a maximum of six event. The best five results will be counted towards the championship.[1]
Quentin Gilbert is the defending champion, as he won the 2015 title.
Calendar
The calendar was announced in November by the FIA.[2] The season will maintain the same rallies as the 2015 championship with the addition of the China Rally and will be contested over fourteen rounds in Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australia.[3][4]
