Albion Sports AFC is an English football club located in Bradford. The club plays in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

History

Albion Sports AFC was founded in 1974 by Harjit Singh Panesar and Baljit Singh.[1] The club were entered into the Bradford Amateur Sunday League, becoming champions of Division Four in their inaugural season.[1] They won the Premier Division in 1995–96, and again in 1999–2000, along with the British Asian Championship, the West Riding County Cup and the Bradford Sunday Senior Cup.[1] They finished runners-up in the West Riding County Amateur Football League Premier Division in 2010–11 and were promoted to the Northern Counties East League Division One. 2011–12 was their first season at level 10.[2] In their second season, the club were crowned champions and gained promotion to the Premier Division.[3]

Colours and badge

Albion Sports AFC's colours are yellow and royal blue shirts with royal blue shorts and socks.[4] Their badge has a picture of a lion, reflecting their nickname of "the Lions".[4] Their away kit is all red.[4]

Stadium

Albion Sports AFC play their home matches at Throstle Nest, sharing the ground with their landlords Farsley Celtic.[4]
