Alexandria, California

Alexandria is a former settlement in Merced County, California.[1] It was located on the 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Hopeton.[1]

A post office operated at Alexandria from 1869 to 1871.[1] The name honored Alexander C. McSwain, its first postmaster.[1]
