Gadwall is a former settlement in Merced County, California.^[1] It was located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 5.5 miles (8.9 km) east-southeast of Los Banos,^[2] at an elevation of 102 feet (31 m).^[1] Gadwall still appeared on USGS maps as of 1921.^[1]
