Atzara (Sardinian: Atzàra) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) north of Cagliari and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) southwest of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,293 and an area of 35.8 square kilometres (13.8 sq mi).[1]
Atzara borders the following municipalities: Belvì, Meana Sardo, Samugheo, Sorgono.
