Bolotana (Sardinian: Bolòtana) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) north of Cagliari and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) west of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,160 and an area of 108.5 square kilometres (41.9 sq mi).[1]
Bolotana borders the following municipalities: Bonorva, Bortigali, Illorai, Lei, Macomer, Noragugume, Orani, Ottana, Silanus.
