Based in Bloomington, Illinois, the Thunder play their home games at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum, located in downtown Bloomington. The USHL Thunder were formally welcomed into USHL on April 9, 2014.[1] The USHL Thunder purchased the rights to the name from the previous SPHL version of the Thunder. Initially they kept the SPHL team's logo but rolled out a new logo and color scheme at the USHL Drafts.
