Borovnice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈborovɲɪtsɛ]; German: Borownitz) is a village and municipality (obec) in České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of approximately 2.74 square kilometres (1.06 sq mi), and has a population of 109 (as at 31 December 2007).
Borovnice lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south-east of České Budějovice and 131 km (81 mi) south of Prague.
