California's 26th State Senate district is one of 40 California State Senate districts. It is currently represented by Democrat Ben Allen of Santa Monica.
District profile
The district represents 9.4% of Los Angeles County, in the South Bay and Westside regions.
The district includes:
- The cities of Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and Hermosa Beach.
- The Palos Verdes Peninsula region, most of the LA Westside and South Bay regions, and part of the central Santa Monica Mountains.
- The City of Los Angeles neighborhoods of Hollywood, Venice, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Beverly Park, Westwood, UCLA campus, Hollywood Hills West, Fairfax, Hancock Park, West Los Angeles, Mar Vista, Westchester, Playa del Rey, and Playa Vista.
- The Los Angeles County community of Marina del Rey.
The district also includes a southern part of the Channel Islands, including Santa Catalina Island and San Clemente Island.
