Caprauna is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 110 kilometres (68 mi) south of Turin and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) southeast of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 128 and an area of 11.1 square kilometres (4.3 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Caprauna contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Poggio, Chiazzuola, Ruora, and Case sottane.
Caprauna borders the following municipalities: Alto, Aquila di Arroscia, Armo, Borghetto d'Arroscia, Ormea, and Pieve di Teco.
