Tarantasca is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) south of Turin and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,002 and an area of 12.2 square kilometres (4.7 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Tarantasca contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) San Chiaffredo, Santa Cristina, and Tasnere.
Tarantasca borders the following municipalities: Busca, Centallo, Cuneo, and Villafalletto.
