Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Mundong Ibabaw is a Filipino drama series broadcast by GMA Network starring Marian Rivera and Alden Richards. The show premiered on January 27, 2014 on the network's primetime block replacing Genesis and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV on January 28, 2014. The series ended on May 23, 2014 replaced by Niño on its timeslot completed 17 week run with the total of 83 episodes.[1] Starting November 11, 2015 until March 4, 2016 it re-airs on GMA Life TV worldwide.

Premise

Carmela Fernandez (Marian Rivera) is a very beautiful woman who had gone through a lot in life, losing her father (Ricky Davao) and not keeping in touch with her mother, Amanda (Agot Isidro). With her beauty, she is judged not only by other people but also people close to her. When Carmela falls in love with Santiago "Yago" Torres (Alden Richards), who despises her mother, she is forced to make heart-wrenching decisions, while staying away from the watchful eyes of Mayor Fernando Torres (Roi Vinzon), Vice Mayor and General Ramon Corpuz (Freddie Webb) and Dante (Raymond Bagatsing).[2]
