Cedric Thompson is an American football safety for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He played college football at Minnesota.^[1] He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.^[2][3]

On January 12, 2016, the Patriots signed Thompson to their practice squad after the Dolphins failed to renew his futures contract.^[4] On January 26, 2016, Thompson signed a futures contract with the New England Patriots.^[5]
