Trey Flowers (born August 16, 1993) is an American football defensive end for the New England Patriots. He played college football at Arkansas.
Early years
Flowers attended Columbia High School in Huntsville, Alabama.[1] He was ranked by Rivals.com as a three-star recruit.[2] He originally committed to Georgia Tech to play college football but changed to the University of Arkansas.[3] Flowers also played basketball in high school.
College career
Flowers played in all 13 games with three starts as a true freshman in 2011. He had 28 tackles and one sack. As a sophomore in 2012, he started all 13 games, recording 50 tackles and six sacks. Flowers started 11 games as a junior in 2013, missing one due to injury. He finished the year with 44 tackles and five sacks.[4] After he considered entering the 2014 NFL Draft, Flowers returned to Arkansas for his senior season in 2014.[5][6][7]
Professional career
New England Patriots
Projected as a third-round draft pick[8][9] in the 2015 NFL draft, Flowers was drafted with the second pick of the fourth round, the 101st overall selection, by the New England Patriots.
Flowers was only active for one game in the 2015 season. He was placed on injured reserve on December 1, 2015.
