Curt Siewert (5 April 1899 – 13 June 1983) as a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II and an Generalmajor in the Bundeswehr. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. He was captured by British troops in May 1945 and was held until May 1948. He joined the Bundeswehr in 1956 and retired in 1960.
