Karl-Hermann Lion (5 November 1911 – 2 May 1994) was a highly decorated Major in the Luftwaffe during World War II and an Oberstleutnant in the Bundeswehr. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Karl-Hermann Lion joined the Bundeswehr in 1959 and retired in 1968 as an Oberstleutnant.
