Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tehran
The Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tehran was founded in 1989 when the departments of English, French, Italian, German, and Russian were brought together at the Faculty of Letters and Humanities.
The study of the Japanese, Urdu and Spanish languages have been added to the curriculum of the faculty, and now there are nine departments (considering the Other Languages department).
