List of Indian states by GDP

This page lists Indian States and union territories by their nominal gross domestic product (GDP). It also displays each state's level of annual GDP growth, as recorded between 2004 and 2012. as recorded between 2004 and 2014.[1]

Maharashtra has highest GDP about $250 billion (2014) while Lakshadweep has the smallest GDP of $60 million. Andhra Pradesh was reorganized on 2 June 2014, leaving it 42% smaller, and creating the new state of Telangana, and the reduced Andhra Pradesh figures are shown.

This is a table of states and union territories of India by their nominal GDP for the financial years 2001–2 to 2013-14, released by Planning Commission of India, in local currency.[1] Figures for 2014-15 are from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.[2] Revised data for the past years differ from the tables below. Due to the slide in INR/USD exchange rates from 2011-2013, GDSP has grown in local currency terms but often roughly flat in USD terms. INR rates have varied over the years; as of Jan 1, 2014 it has temporarily stabilized at roughly 62 Indian rupees per USD.
