Hangar 13 is a game development company located in Novato, California. The studio is the newest 2K studio and is headed by Haden Blackman.[1] The studio is currently developing, with assistance from 2K Czech, Mafia III.
History
In December 4, 2014 2K Games announced that was creating a new game studio, Hangar 13, which will be led by veteran Star Wars game developer Haden Blackman.
Blackman told GamesBeat that the studio will work on a game for current-generation consoles and PCs.
In 2015, with the announcement of Mafia III, 2K Czech announced via their website that they will be helping to assist Hangar 13 to develop the game.
Mafia III, the studio debut title, was officially teased by 2K on July 28, 2015, and was formally revealed at Gamescom 2015 with a cinematic trailer. Mafia III is set to be released on October 7, 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
