Huaminglou Town (simplified Chinese: 花明楼镇; traditional Chinese: 花明樓鎮; pinyin: Huāmínglóu Zhèn) is an urban town in Ningxiang County, Changsha City, Hunan Province, China. It is surrounded by Ruyi Township on the west, Donghutang Town on the north, Daolin Town on the eastsouth, Lianhua Town and Yuchangping Town, and Datunying Township on the south. As of the 2000 census it had a population of 45,634 and an area of 112.4 square kilometres (43.4 sq mi).
Administrative division
The Town is divided into seventeen villages and two communities, the following areas: Huangjiachong Community (黄家冲社区), Huaminglou Community (花明楼社区), Huaminglou Village (花明楼村), Tanzichong Village (炭子冲村), Yanglin Village (杨林村), Jinyuan Village (金元村), Qijiashan Village (戚佳山村), Jinyuan Village (靳源村), Furongzhai Village (芙蓉寨村), Changqing Village (常青村), Shili Village (石立村), Jinjiang Village (靳江村), Dafutang Village (大夫堂村), Erqiao Village (二桥村), Zhushiqiao Village (朱石桥村), Zhuhu Village (竹湖村), Yixin Village (一新村), Sanjiang Village (三江村) and Shuangshu Village (双树村).
Economy
The region abounds with refractory clay.[1]
Education
There are one senior high school located with the town limits:Ningxiang County Forth Senior High School (宁乡四中).There are two junior high schools and six primary schools located with the town.
Culture
Huaguxi is the most influence local theater.
Transportation
The 1823 Provincial Highway (1823省道) from Yutan Town, running through Donghutang Town, Huaminglou Town to Shaoshan City.[1]
Attractions
Liu Shaoqi's Former Residence, was built in the late Qing Dynasty, it is a famous scenic spot.[1]
