Jo Jorgensen was the United States Libertarian Party candidate for vice-president in the 1996 U.S. presidential election, the running mate of presidential candidate Harry Browne.[1] She was also a candidate for South Carolina's 4th congressional district in 1992 receiving 4,286 votes for 2.2%.

Biography

She received a BS in Psychology at Baylor University in 1979 followed by an Master's in Business in 1980. She began her career at IBM working with computer systems. She received a PH.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Clemson University in 2002.[2] She is now a Psychology lecturer at Clemson University in Clemson, SC.[3]
