Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales

Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales is a five-part Lego Star Wars television mini-series that premiered on Disney XD[1] on July 6, 2015. It is an animated comedy series depicting the stories and characters from the Star Wars saga.

Plot

In the aftermath of Return of the Jedi, the rebels celebrate their victory against the Galactic Empire by having C-3PO and R2-D2 share their previous adventures about the Clone Wars, their work with the Ghost crew from Star Wars Rebels, and their involvement against the Galactic Empire. During this time, C-3PO pursues a mysterious person who has abducted R2-D2.

While on the ship, C-3P0 meets a Twi'lek kid that collects Rebel Cards and tells about how he fought with the rebel crew of the Ghost in the Star Wars Rebels episode "Droids in Distress". Once he gets to Mos Eisley, he meets droids afraid to be collected by the Jawas. While investigating security footage at the spaceport, he recalls the story of A New Hope.

C-3P0 goes on his way find R2-D2 by using the Millennium Falcon and enlisting the aid of Chewbacca. C-3PO recalls the story of The Empire Strikes Back to Chewbacca and Nien Nunb they pick up. Once R2-D2 is found at the old Battle Droid Factory, C-3PO and Chewbacca find that the captor is Lando Calrissian who wanted R2-D2 to mingle with the Droids so that he can restart his mining business on Cloud City after answering an ad by an anonymous person. Unfortunately, it was revealed that the ad was made out by remnants of the Galactic Empire who plan to restart the factory and recreate the Battle Droids.

C-3PO has found R2-D2 in the ruined Battledroid Factory on Geonosis, where Lando Calrissian had taken him. Now, captured by General Veers and his band of rogue stormtroopers bent on restoring the Empire, the Rebel heroes find themselves in grave peril. While in captivity, C-3PO regales the stormtroopers with tales from Return of the Jedi.

The whole series was released on DVD, titled Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales, on March 1, 2016 by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.[8]
