| * [Stroke Awareness and Survivors in Michigan] | Blue and Silver Ribbon. The goal of this ribbon is to establish a grassroots campaign that distinguishes adult stroke as its own disease/ disability state and separates it from its cardiac counterparts or brain disabilities. Note: this ribbon is unique but any combination of blue and silver would be appropriate and encouraged! Although there are other colors used for stroke, these colors represent our commitment in Michigan to recognize both the ongoing need for stroke prevention and symptom recognition, while also supporting stroke survivors, not only within our communities but across the country. Supported by a consensus of clinicians with expertise in stroke- April 2016- at the State of Michigan annual stroke registry conference. May is Stroke Awareness Month! |
