List of Yorkshire County Cricket Club players

This is a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Yorkshire in major double-innings matches since the club was founded in 1863. The Yorkshire teams formed by earlier organisations, essentially the old Sheffield Cricket Club, always had major status and so the county club is rated accordingly since its inception: i.e., classified as an unofficial first-class team by substantial sources from 1863 to 1894;[1][2] classified as an official first-class team from 1895 by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and the County Championship clubs;[3] and classified as a List A team since the beginning of limited overs cricket in 1963.[4]

The details are the player's usual name followed by the years in which he was active as a Yorkshire player and then his name is given as it appears on match scorecards (i.e., usually his surname preceded by all initials). Note that many players represented other first-class teams besides Yorkshire. Current players are shown as active to the end of the 2015 season.[5]
