As of February 2016, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) lists 515 near threatened fish species.[1] 3.6% of all evaluated fish species are listed as near threatened. The IUCN also lists six fish subspecies as near threatened.

Of the subpopulations of fishes evaluated by the IUCN, ten species subpopulations have been assessed as near threatened.

This is a complete list of near threatened fish species and subspecies as evaluated by the IUCN. Species or subspecies which have near threatened subpopulations (or stocks) are indicated. Where possible common names for taxa are given while links point to the scientific name used by the IUCN.
