Lotus News is a Tamil News Satellite Channel which began its relay on 11 October 2012 headquartered at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and has been successfully broadcasting all its events acquiring a huge local and international Tamil population as its regular viewers. The Lotus News is the Tamil news television channel that started its free live streaming through internet which has increased its access among youths across the state of Tamil Nadu. The channel was the first to introduce EXPRESS NEWS in tamil language. This program telecasts 100 news in a record breaking time span of 30 minutes. The channel introduced the world's first transgender news anchor. The channel also introduced a news program called "AGAKKAN" in which a specially able blind school student presents a news bulletin.
