Maltignano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) south of Ancona and about 8 kilometres (5 mi) east of Ascoli Piceno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,470 and an area of 8.2 square kilometres (3.2 sq mi).[1]
