MorphGear (formerly PocketGB) is an open source modular game system by Spicy Pixel, Inc. for Windows CE-based devices like Pocket PCs. Native games or emulators can be plugged into MorphGear. These plugins are known as MorphModules.

History

The MorphGear project was conceived by Aaron Oneal who ported the four emulators iNES, Virtual GameBoy, Virtual GameBoy Advance, and MasterGear written by Marat Fayzullin to the PocketPC platform. The resulting product became MorphGear. Later, Aaron Oneal turned it into a common framework where other emulators can be plugged in as "MorphModules".

Modules

Current modules are able to emulate Game Boy, SNES, NES, Game Gear, Sega Genesis, Master System, TurboGrafx-16. MorphGear as such is free of charge for private use.
