Nir (Persian: نير‎‎, also Romanized as Nīr)[1] is a city in and the capital of Nir County, in Ardabil Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,848, in 1,264 families.[2] Nir located between Ardabil and Sarab.
