Patrick Pichette

Patrick Pichette is an executive who was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Google Inc[1] from 2008 until 2015.

Biography

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) (1987) and an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Pembroke College, Oxford.[1] He received a Rhodes scholarship.

Before joining Google, he worked at McKinsey & Company and Bell Canada (2001–2008). He is currently a Board member of Bombardier, the Trudeau Foundation, and is also on the advisory board of multiple startups including Boosted Boards, Zoona, and OkHi.

In April 2011, it was announced that Pichette would also be taking over HR responsibilities within the company from Vice President Laszlo Bock.[2]

In March 2015, it was announced that he would retire to travel the world.[3] He was succeeded as CFO by Ruth Porat. In June of 2015, he received the National Order of Quebec.
