Rays Crossing, Indiana

Rays Crossing is an unincorporated community in Shelby County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.[1]

History

Rays Crossing had its start as a depot and shipping point on the railroad.[2] The community has the name of the Ray family of settlers.[3] A post office opened at Rays Crossing in 1870, and remained in operation until 1943.[4]
