Samurai Jack: The Amulet of Time
Samurai Jack: The Amulet of Time is an action video game developed by Virtucraft and published by BAM! Entertainment for the Game Boy Advance. Based on the animated series Samurai Jack, the game came about after a licensing agreement deal was reached between Cartoon Network and BAM! Entertainment in January 2002.[1] It was released in North America on March 25, 2003.
Gameplay
The game follows Jack's quest through seven areas to obtain the pieces of an amulet that can send him back to his own time. As more amulet pieces are collected, the player unlocks more of Jack's weapons and abilities, such as tiger claws and a battle hammer.
Reception
IGN's Craig Harris gave the game an "okay" score of 6 out of 10, citing the game's similarities to Metroid and recent Castlevania games as good design, but saying the game lacked originality.[9] The game has a score of 64.55% from GameRankings[2] and 63 out of 100 from Metacritic.[3]
