San Tammaro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Caserta in the Italian region Campania, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of Naples and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) west of Caserta. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,558 and an area of 36.8 square kilometres (14.2 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of San Tammaro contains the frazione (subdivision) Carditello.
San Tammaro borders the following municipalities: Capua, Casal di Principe, Casaluce, Frignano, Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Santa Maria la Fossa, Villa di Briano.
