In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the sandman is a type of elemental creature.
Publication history
The sandman first appeared in White Dwarf #10 (December 1978). The sandman appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]
The sandman appeared in second edition for the Al-Qadim setting in Assassin Mountain (1993),[2] and reprinted in Monstrous Compendium Annual Volume One (1994).[3]
Description
A sandman is a humanoid-shaped creature from the Elemental Plane of Earth that is usually found in desert terrain. A sandman can cause nearby creatures to fall asleep.
