Saruq (Persian: ساروق‎‎, also Romanized as SÄrÅ«q; also known as Qal‘eh-ye SÄrÅ«q, Qal‘eh-ye BÄlÄ, Qal‘eh-ye BÄlÄ SÄrÅ«q, SÄrÅ«qi, and SÅ«rakh)[1] is a city in and capital of Saruqi District, in Farahan County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 2,189, in 647 families.[2]
