Shahi is a town and a nagar panchayat in Bareilly district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Geography
Shahi is located at 28°33′N 79°19′E / 28.55°N 79.32°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 171 metres (561 feet). The town is on the banks of the Gaula River.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Shahi had a population of 13,898. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Shahi has an average literacy rate of 26%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 32%, and female literacy is 19%. In Shahi, 22% of the population is under 6 years of age.
