Shikarpur is a city and a municipal board in Bulandshahr district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
History
Historically,Shikarpur has been associated with famous cobbling skills during the Mughal Era.Apart from this,there has been a cultural stereotype of low intelligence amongst Shikarpur's inhabitants.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Shikarpur had a population of 33,130. Males constitute 52.77% of the population and females 47.22%. Shikarpur has an average literacy rate of 50.46%, lower than the national average. male literacy is 59.95%, and female literacy is 39.87%. In Shikarpur, 17.5% of the population is under 6 years of age.
