Somerset is an unincorporated community in El Dorado County, California.[1] It is located 6.25 miles (10 km) south of Camino,[2] at an elevation of 2093 feet (638 m).[1] Its ZIP code is 95684.

A post office was transferred from Youngs to Somerset in 1950.[2] The first settlers came from Somerset, Ohio and named the place after their home town.[2]
