Super Bowl LIII, the 53rd Super Bowl and the 49th modern-era National Football League (NFL) championship game, will decide the league champion for the 2018 season. The game will be played on February 3, 2019, pending potential changes to the NFL calendar. The game is set to be televised nationally by CBS.

Host-selection process

On May 19, 2015, the league announced the four finalists that will compete to host either Super Bowl LIII in 2019 or Super Bowl LIV in 2020. NFL owners will vote on these cities in May 2016, with the first round of voting determining who will host Super Bowl LIII, and the second round deciding a different site for Super Bowl LIV. The four finalists, all in the Southeastern United States, are:[1][2]
