Thanks for Leaving
"Thanks for Leaving" is a promotional recording by Romanian singer-songwriter and occasional model Alexandra Stan, extracted from her second studio album Unlocked. The single premiered live with an acoustic version on Radio ZU.[1]
Background
Thanks for Leaving is a pop ballad song. The song is written about Stan's relationship with her former manager Marcel Prodan. Stan said "When the song was wrriten, I realised that people would understand what I have been through, and my power to go on. I wished 'Thanks For Leaving' to be my first single after the hiatus, and I`m very happy about it, and I'm glad that I could express all those feelings and emotions through the song and the music video."
Music video
Stan promoted the music video one month before its release with a short film made by Khaled Mokhtar. The film was released in four parts on Stans YouTube Channel.
The music video was shot in California, by Khaled Mokhtar.
