Coaching career

Ottawa

Forsberg was the 15th head football coach for the Ottawa University Braves located in Ottawa, Kansas and he held that position for three seasons, from 1946 until 1948. His career coaching record at Ottawa was 20 wins, 6 losses, and 2 ties. As of 2008, this ranks him eighth at Ottawa in total wins and fourth at Ottawa in winning percentage (.750).[1] Forsberg also coached basketball at the school during his tenure.[2]

Kansas Wesleyan

Forsberg next traveled to Salina, Kansas to become the 12th head football coach for the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes. Forsberg held that position for three seasons, from 1949 until 1951. His coaching record at Kansas Wesleyan was 11 wins, 16 losses, and 1 tie. As of the conclusion of the 2009 season, this ranks him 8th at Kansas Wesleyan in total wins and 10th at the school in winning percentage (.411).[3]
