.ai is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Anguilla. It is administered by the government of Anguilla.

Second and third level registrations

Registrations within off.ai, com.ai, net.ai, and org.ai are available unrestrictedly, worldwide, but don't appear to be getting much use. From September 15, 2009, second level registrations within .ai are available to everyone worldwide.

There is a US$100 fee to become a registered user at whois.ai. Domains are $100 for each 2-year period. The order process is mainly manual and requires fax, and address verification, and a waiting period of 3 months after payment to "make sure there is no problem with your credit card". However, the waiting period can be reduced by 1 month per successful verification of each fax, SMS, and address thus effectively removing the waiting period.

Usage Outside Anguilla

With the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), certain companies are beginning to purchase .ai domains to represent artificial intelligence applications. Directory of domain names http://anguilla-ai.com

Records on the TLD

The .ai TLD is notable for having an MX record, allowing mail to be delivered directly to "recipient@ai." (with trailing period).[1][2] It also has an A record: http://ai./
