ÖFB-Cup

FC Red Bull Salzburg entered the competition in its first round.

UEFA Champions League

By coming second in the Austrian Bundesliga's 2012–13 season, FC Red Bull Salzburg entered the 2013-2014 season of the UEFA Champions League in its third qualifying round in the unseeded non-champions pot. FC Red Bull Salzburg failed to defeat Turkish 2012–13 Süper Lig runners-up Fenerbahçe S.K. in the third qualifying round, thus being eliminated from the competition for this season. Salzburg is however allowed to move to and participate in the play-off round of the UEFA Europa League.
